Belated Happy New Years to al! First off, I am sad to share that Hugh’s Room, my annual musical home here in Toronto, has closed its doors in the same month as the historic Honest Ed’s. Many changes are happening in this city, and indeed the world! Speaking of the world, please come on down to Crow’s Theatre tomorrow at 3pm to see myself, Hugh Cotton and Rukhsana Khan tell some epic and marvellous tales from around the globe. Cheers!

Well... JUNO submissions are in and the new album is AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER NOW. Listen to FRESH AIR this weekend on CBC Radio to catch a sneak listen to some of the new tracks!

Just had rehearsal #2 for the CD RELEASE PARTY on November 20th at Hugh’s Room. I am so proud of the story, especially as being told by master-teller, Anna Kerz. My main accompanist, David Stone, is playing so beautifully that I am being moved by this music in a new way each time we come together to play it. I feel so fortunate to be experiencing such satisfying music in my life, and to be a part of making it as well! I can’t wait to share it with all of you!

Holy Smokes! I just received the printed copies of my new album, Elon & The City of Stone - I can't believe it's finally happening! They are real and will be available for online purchase in time for the holiday season! Thanks to everyone who has supported this epic project.

The CD RELEASE is now confirmed for 7:30pm at Hugh's Room on November 20th. Anna Kerz will tell the timeless story of Elon, punctuated by my songs, accompanied by David Stone on piano, Ewan Divitt on flugelhorn and Ken Whiteley on everything else. The music and story will be brought to life by the projected artwork of Andrea Farrow and Michael Wrycraft, and the beautiful dancing of Davy Bisaro and Nickeshia Garrick. Be there, or be square!

Well, tonight is my third and final performance at the Toronto Storytelling Festival. It has been an exciting year, preparing new and sharing three different stories including, "The Water of Life," "Elon & The City Of Stone," (a sneak peek version of the album story) and, "The Crystal Heart". Thanks to Dan Yashinsky and everyone at the festival for having been me tell!

Happy New Year!

The Hugh's Room show was, by all accounts, a success. There was video recording, which will become available sometime in February. Stay tuned!

Meanwhile: festivals! I will be performing at The Mosaic Storytelling Festival on January 24th, and I am excited to share the bill with Celia Lottridge. We are planning to tell cat-themed stories, so I hope to see you cat-lovers there!

February 10th and 11th I will be featured at the Ontario Street Theatre's Dinner Theatre festival. It will be my first time performing in Port Hope, and I am excited to meet everyone. The organizer, Sean Carthew, has been very proactive so far - so I am excited for this event.

I am excited to be performing at The Toronto Storytelling Festival again. I may be performing three times at that one, so I will update the website as the schedule is confirmed.

I hope you are collecting fabulous stories already as 2016 gets off to a running start. xo

Happy Holidays! I am writing this from the studio of Ken Whiteley, where a group of us are completing the mixing of this epic album. I can easily say this is the most exciting album I have ever made, and I can't wait to share it with you in 2016!

Meanwhile, I am gearing up for two shows, one on New Year's Eve opening for the affable Robbie Lane, and JANUARY 9TH at Hugh's Room. This is my big annual show, and this one has some cool surprises in the works! Stay tuned...

My best to you and yours for the season. Xo
